Color Consistency:
• CMYK color proofs, unfortunately,
will not match Pantone or other color matching systems. However,
we’ll gladly supply you with Pantone Charts printed on paper
that can be used to reliably calibrate your color.
• For best results, you should run
a test print of color swatches.
• In order to keep a color match
when importing files between applications–for instance moving
between Adobe Illustrator and QuarkXPress – be sure to always
match Pantone colors in CMYK mode.
Scanning:
• CMYK images tend to print a little
muddy, so consider lightening your images by using the Levels, Curves
and Brightness controls in Photoshop.
• To guarantee you the best output
quality save scans in CMYK as EPS or TIFF.
• Canon gives its best quality output
at 200-250 dpi.
